The situation
This Lexington homeowner wasn't dealing with one tired surface, but two: an aging roof and faded, weathered siding on the house and its outbuildings. Rather than patching things piecemeal over several years, they made the call to do the whole exterior right in one coordinated project, planned as two phases so the roof went on first and the siding finished the job.
What we did
- Phase one: full architectural shingle roof replacement
- Phase two: complete removal of the old siding on the house and outbuildings
- New house wrap moisture barrier on every wall
- New vinyl siding in a rich, modern color, with matching fascia and soffit work
- The detached buildings finished to match, so the whole property reads as one
The result
The before and after photos tell it better than we can: a dated white exterior became a warm, modern home that looks new from the street. Because siding and roofing came from one contractor, flashing, trim, and transitions were handled as one system instead of two contractors pointing at each other. The full exterior, both phases, came in at the low end of the $50,000s, and financing is available for projects like this through our partner Enhancify.
